The difference a year can make!

It's amazing what a difference a year can make! This time last year I was coming out of the depths of a very dark and destructive relationship. I had lost hope in men in general and had grown not to trust anyone.

I had been encouraged by two of my good girl friends in January of 2012 to meet a guy that they both were well acquainted with, John Mark Davis (JM). Nothing ever came of their encouragement, until June of 2012. JM asked me out for drinks on June 8th and we've been inseparable ever since.

The best way to describe JM's personality is to use a quote that he often says, "I do happy, and I don't do sad."He is honest, loyal, trustworthy, kind, caring, and most importantly fun! I truly believe he has changed my life for the better and I can't and don't want to imagine my life without him. We share almost everything in common and sometimes finish each others sentences. I've definitely met my match! He makes me want to be the best I can be, and I would like to think I do the same for him.

Like the title of this post says, what a difference one year can make! I encourage anyone who is in an unhealthy relationship or not living the life they want to live to not lose hope because you never know how quickly your life can change for the better.

New Year- Everyday Feliz

At the beginning of the new year I like to take the opportunity to think of it as a fresh start. I always set at least 3 goals for myself every year that I want to accomplish. Most of the times these goals being to lose weight, get into better shape, various work related goals, and always to do better at building up my savings.

In an effort to get myself motivated I began reading a book called 'Everyday Happy: 365 Days to a Happier You' by Jenny Hare. http://www.amazon.com/Everyday-Happy-365-Ways-Better/dp/1846013321

Every morning in my office, we start off our morning by reading the encouraging, motivational and positive message for the day. It has only been three weeks of doing this, but I have already notice a tremendous improvement in my attitude, my co-workers attitudes, and the overall positivity within our office.

This not only has improved office morale, but has also spilled over into my personal life. Looking at things as half full, and not half empty. Looking for the positive in every situation, no matter what the circumstance may be.

I cannot wait to see what 2013 has in store for me!
